Review Journal



Hello everyone ..
Here, I want to review international journals that I have read ^_^
Journal International, a rich writing that is certainly broad in scope, contains existing and valid facts, and certainly has been recognized by all countries (because it is international). The journal can be categorized as an international journal, if it meets the following conditions: (1). Published scientific works are written by fulfilling scientific requirements and scientific ethics, (2). Has an ISSN, (3). Written using official UN languages ​​(Arabic, English, French , Russian, Spanish and Chinese), (4). Has an online version of the issue, (5). The Editorial Board (Editorial Board) is the expert in the field that must at least come from 4 (four) countries, (6). Scientific articles published in 1 (one) number of the least published writers are from 2 (two) countries and (7). Indexed by international databases: Web of Science, Scopus, Microsoft Academic Search, and / or pages according to the consideration of the Directorate General of Higher Education.
For this reason, it is not easy to say a journal as an international journal. We must understand the meaning and criteria of an international journal. The general sections in a journal include: (1). Title, accompanied by author's name etc., (2). Abstract, accompanied by keywords, (3). Introduction, (4). Literature Rivew, (5). Method of Research, (6). Research Finding and Discussion, (7). Conclusion and (8). References.

International Review Journal
Here I will review international journals that I have read. The international journal I have read is titled "Picture Word Inductive Model: Its Effectiveness to Teach Writing Viewd from Students' Interest. Written by Rahayu Meliasari, Ngadiso and Sri Marmanto. All of them are Degree Masters of English Education Department, University of Sebelas Maret, Surakarta, Indonesia.
I will discuss or describe the Introduction to this Journal section.

      I.         Introduction 
Writing, is a skill that sometimes not everyone can have that skill. Not that it can't write, but it writes according to good and right rules. In learning English, write an important thing for us to develop its abilities. Because, with our ability to write using English, we will be able to understand the rules of language and what is certain is the structure of sentences as well as grammar. The students in the school are taught English so that they are able to master the techniques of reading, listening, writing and speaking. Techniques that students must hold firm. However, what is often a barrier is the writing technique. Because, they have to write with good and right rules, the grammar is demanded to be true. These obstacles can be experienced for students who are EFL (English Foreign Language). It becomes an obstacle for them because they only prioritize Speaking and Listening skills. Various problems also appeared, related to writing skills.
In our country, Indonesia, more precisely at the level of junior high school which is the benchmark for students in developing English, focusing on how students can make simple functional texts and can easily without the difficulties of students in making them. Not all students can easily master the skill. There are even students who ignore the skill. Because, various obstacles and concerns arise when the student wants to write using English. Such as poor hand writing, English grammar that they have not mastered and understood and the ability of students to make sentences and make the sentences into paragraphs and various other problems . As a result of this problem, the final value obtained was not satisfactory, and it was very unfortunate.
Judging from the existing reality, the instructors must find and innovate related to the development of writing skills for their students. Because if the teacher is just silent without taking action, then of the students who are in the class only a few students are able to follow the flow of the strategy made. Like using the PWIM method. The PWIM method is a teaching method wherein when the learning begins the teacher gives an image of an object that is familiar to students, then students are asked to look at the picture, then read the picture in the picture and then pour the results of their thoughts into a writing. Joyce & Calhoun (2009) assert that Picture Word Inductive Model (PWIM) is a teacher-facilitated process, in which the teacher directs children to find words from images, increases the number of words in sight-seeing and writing their vocabulary, formulating phonetic and structural principles, and finally apply observation and analysis of logical thinking to their writing. This strategy is used to guide students to develop their ideas during the initial writing process. In addition, this also increases vocabulary, grammar, phonetics, me-chanic, and their spelling in writing texts. In addition, Picture Word Inductive Model (PWIM) is an effective strategy for teachers that can be used with all classes, small groups, couples, or individually involving basic movements of identifying images, looking for new words, hearing new words correctly , and note the teacher's model of how to use vocabulary at various levels (McDonald, 2010; Wood & Tinajero, 2002; Calhoun, 1999).
Even though the teacher strives to find the right method or way to inspire students to write in English, the teacher must not forget the students' interest. No matter how hard the teacher gives a method that is effective, good and right, the students are not interested or interested, it is only learning without good results. Therefore, the teacher must also raise the interest of his students.
A piece of fact that makes researchers interested in investigating whether PWIM is more effective than CWS for teaching writing, reveals whether students who have a high interest have better writing skills than those who have low interest, and reveal there is an interaction between teaching strategies and the level of interest in skills writing students.
